The azeite de Dende is one of those typical ingredients . It is crafted from an oil palm and arrived in Brazil since colonization . This oil has African origins. Coconut milk is also used in large traditional dishes like moquecas and ensopados . These are seafood preparations decorated with coconut milk . This ingredient is found in other preparations such as the Cocada Branca e preta . It is , here , a dessert prepared with sugar cane molasses ( or black treacle is a viscous by-product of the refining of sugarcane or sugar beets into sugar) .
