Marajo Island enchants its visitors with the diversity of its fauna and flora, spread out over 12 townships. It is considered the world’s largest fluvial-marine island, surpassing the areas of Belgium and the Netherlands. It has beautiful beaches with calm waters, and a great variety of birds and fish. It is the land of açaí (a type of fruit), of warm rhythms like Carimbo (a drum made of a hollow log) and lundu (a primitive lascivious dance) and Marajo pottery.The local police is also a touristic attraction riding a buffalo instead a horse, they patrol along the island. For safety measures and personal comfort.¤ Preferable bags without hard shell (excess baggage can be deposited in our Manaus office without extra charge).

Day by day
DAY 1 –BELEM - Arrival and reception at the airport of Belem. Transfer to the chosen hotel.
DAY 2 – BELEM/MARAJO ISLAND- After breakfast city tour through Belem visiting historical landmarks and the ain touristic spots of the city including the South Coast.
DAY 3 –MARAJO ISLAND - Early pick up at hotel in Belem and transfer to the port to board the ship to Camará, a small village on the Island. At 6:00 am, ship scheduled to leave the Belem port. At 9:30 am, ship arrives at Camará in Marajo Island. Visit to Joanes Village, where a walk on Praia Grande Beach will give you a little taste of how different Marajo beaches are. Transfer to the lodges. Arrival in Soure, check in and rest.Meals Included: breakfast
DAY 4 - After breakfast boat trip (around 45 min) to go to a Marajoara farm, later walking to the farm’s gate. Along the way, we can possibly see monkeys, toucans, and others different species of animals. At the farmhouse, a typical Marajoara breakfast will be served. After breakfast, a horseback riding along trails beaches and wetlands.
Lunch at the farmhouse (not included). In the afternoon, a boat tour to Furo do Miguelao. Furo do Miguelao is an artificial open entrance inland at a mangrove area. At dusk, we return to the lodge.Meals Included: breakfast
DAY 5 – MARAJO ISLAND
After breakfast departure to a city tour in Soure. The tour includes a visit to the main attractions of the city, such as a tannery shop, where you can see the whole process of buffalo leather’s handcraft such as belts, boots, saddles, etc, and a Marajoara ceramic shop.
DAY 6 – MARAJO ISLAND/BELEM
After breakfast morning free. You may set up a hammock on the trees or explore optional programs offered. Early afternoon transfer to the port to go to Belem by boat. Arrival in the evening and transfer to hotel in Belem. Time to rest.Meals Included: breakfast
DAY 7 - After breakfast. On a prearranged time transfer to the airport for boarding on returning, flight home. End of our services.
